CTCP hosts 'Fighting Crime through International Legal Cooperation' program

On the 28 - 29 April 2009, the CTCP hosted a delegation from Indonesia for a two day conference entitled, 'Fighting Crime through International Legal Cooperation' (ILC Program).

This training program was a joint venture between the Commonwealth Attorney General Regional Legal Assistance Unit (RLAU) and the Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention.

The delegation included participants from the Indonesian Department of Law and Human Rights, the Indonesian National Police and the Corruption Eradication Commission. 

A second program, 'Prosecuting Transnational Crimes' (Prosecuting Program, aimed at improving Indonesia's capacity to conduct effective prosecutions of transnational crimes is scheduled for Canberra in May 2009. Both training programs are considered a joint learning experience for both Australia and Indonesia.
