Biography:

Dr. Alaeldin Maghaireh is a lecturer in Law at the Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention (CTCP). He is an expert in Islamic criminal law and cybercrime with considerable experience in the First Instance Court in Jordan. His doctoral research, completed in 2009 at Wollongong University, was on Cybercrime Investigation: A Comparative Analysis of Search for and Seizure of Digital Evidence. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Beirut Arab University (1996) and a Master of Cyber Law from Wisdom University, Lebanon (2000). He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Transnational Crime Prevention from Wollongong University. His primary research interests are: Cyber criminology, cyberterrorism, digital evidence, and Shariah law. He has published on cybercrime, Shariah law and related legal issues.
